Let us tell you a little about ourselves!

We gather in many different ways:
  1. The Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:30 am. Both the music and the preaching style are a blend of contemporary and traditional styles, helping bring an unchanging message to a changing world as we learn, grow, worship, and serve together in community.
  2. Small Groups. There are several small groups that meet during the week, and more are on the way! Here are the groups that are currently meeting:
    • Sunday Morning at 9:00 am – there is both an adult men’s group and an adult women’s group that meets weekly. Come when you can and feel free to join the discussion or just listen in, as you are most comfortable. We call these small groups “Sunday School” but don’t worry – while there may be a lot for you to take home and benefit from, there won’t be any tests or final exams!
    • Tuesday evening Men’s small group at 6:30 pm. This group is currently navigating through John Eldridge’s “Wild at Heart” series and plans to begin something new in July. Stay tuned for details!
    • Wednesday evening Youth Group at 6:00 pm. Youth from grade 6 through college age are welcome to join as we laugh, learn, and play together. Each meeting will feature social time, food, an engaging and relevant lesson, and game time. Join us as we learn what it means to be the emerging generation which will lead, impact, grow, and care for one another for years to come.
    • Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 6:30 pm. This is a ‘come when you can’ group, so you don’t wait to join in – come check it out anytime!  The discussion usually lasts about half an hour with a second half hour devoted to prayer.  Don’t worry – you won’t be called on to pray or expected to pray aloud if you don’t want to. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy a great time of fellowship and growth as we look into God’s Word and go to prayer together.
    • Thursday evening’s “Explorers” Small Group at 6:30 pm. This group is open to one and all, young and old alike. Join us as we explore real-life issues such as The Five Love Languages, Christianity 101, and so much more
  3. Periodic social gatherings. Just as the early church modeled doing life well in the context of community, so also we believe in the power and value of togetherness. These often-informal gatherings afford us the opportunities and blessings of togetherness. Check the monthly church calendar for upcoming events.

FAQs

What should I wear?  Clothes.  Really!  Whatever you are comfortable wearing, whether jeans and a T-shirt or a suit and tie.  You’re likely to see a broad range of attire on any given Sunday at BAC, and that’s just fine.  Some people prefer to dress a little more formally, while others like to keep it casual.  We’re good with both.  Just be here!!!

What’s the parking situation?  There is parking out front of the building; most people park there, while there is also ample parking to the east, at our activities building (AKA ‘the gym’).

What weekly meetings are there?  Sunday morning features Sunday School small groups which meet at 9:00.  The regular Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30.  Evening services and small group meetings occur regularly.  Contact the church office at (910)207-6146 for further information.

What sort of music should I expect?  At WAC, we desire to honor time-tested, traditional hymns as well as modern worship songs, and we often have nearly as many of one as of the other during a given service.  Typically, instrumentation will include guitar and/or piano lead along with drums and often, bass guitar accompaniment.  NOTE – WAC is currently seeking talented musicians to join the worship team.
